The challenge

One size to fit all countries

The US created campaign design is also used by Under Armour in Europe. But the difference between a European campaign roll-out and a US campaign roll-out is huge. 

For example, in Europe Under Armour has to produce materials in 6 languages. For one marketing campaign, over 800 different sized banners are needed, to be shared with retail partners all over Europe.

Based on pre-defined intelligent templates and smart assets, BannerBuilder allows users to create banners on the fly, automatically adjusting to the required dimensions. To match the required cropping specifications, defined in campaign guidelines, the Retailware team adds crop ratios on the uploaded images.

Banner Generator

BannerGenerator takes care of the automation of the next step: to dynamically create all sizes of banners. By storing all requirements and setting specific attributes per partner, an entire range of banners can be generated automatically from the database. Attributes which can be set are: 

  • Language (multiple);
  • Add CTA Y/N;
  • Add Under Armour logo Y/N;
  • Add Copy Y/N.

Our DAM system

AssetFlow

The generated banners are stored as asset, tagged with meta data to easily filter and select them in the Retailware’s DAM system AssetFlow. With AssetFlow, Under Armour marketeers can easily select generated banners per partner and share them. Whenever additional unique versions need to be made, BannerBuilder is the module to use.
